COMMUNITY COLLEGES

QUALIFICATIONS

MANDATORY***

  • ASEE’s Community College Membership category is open to all US-based community colleges (both community colleges with and without programs accredited by ABET’s Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC)
  • US-based community colleges that intend to seek accreditation from ABET’s EAC (any level)
  • US-based colleges with pre-engineering courses (part of dual-degree programs)

BENEFITS

  • Community College Membership comes with membership for one Key Member (usually the dean/program head)
  • The Key Contact will represent the community college on ASEE’s Engineering Technology Council (ETC) and participate in council events.
  • Community Colleges can purchase additional memberships called Contact Memberships for $50 per membership (an $89 value). These memberships are renewable and will remain active for one year unless the school’s membership lapses, at which time all purchased Contact Memberships will become inactive. Any unused portion of a Contact Membership is non-refundable. The school’s key Contact can reassign the memberships at any time.
  • Contact Members will enjoy the same benefits as Professional Online Members and can purchase additional division memberships.
  • US-based community colleges that intended to seek accreditation from ABET’s Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) may apply for a non-voting associate membership on ASEE’s Engineering Deans Council (EDC)
  • The Key Contact and other Contact Members receive discount registration to ASEE Annual Conference and Exposition, and ASEE Section and Zone meetings.
  • The Key Contact and Contact Members receive online access to the Journal of Engineering Education, ASEE’s scholarly journal of peer-reviewed articles
  • The Key Contact and Contact Members receive online access to our annual Profiles of Engineering and Engineering Technology

If you can’t afford an International College Affiliate Membership, our Consortium
Membership option allows 2 - 5 institutions to band together.
In this case, one key contact (on a rotating basis) will receive the benefits
of an International College Affiliate Membership.
This operates with the understanding that those contacts are responsible for
disseminating the key info to your Consortium partners.

P12 SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP

  • US-based P12 schools who’d like to advance their STEM curriculum to pre-college levels

ENGINEERING RESEARCH COUNCIL

QUALIFICATIONS

MANDATORY***

For an additional fee, institutional members can participate in ASEE’s Engineering Research Council (ERC). The ERC consists of engineering faculty members, research administrators, and reps from corporations and government agencies focused on the administration of federal research funds for engineering colleges.
The ERC’s objectives are:

  1. To assess and recommend policies related to engineering research and its operation and administration
  2. To provide forums for discussion on problems and experiences related to engineering research
  3. To establish and maintain liaison with other organizations concerned with engineering research and its operation and administration
  4. To assist the members to make contacts with one another
  5. To maintain communication networks for discussing topics of mutual interest

ANNUAL WORKSHOP AND FORUM

The ERC’s annual workshop and forum is an opportunity to share information about engineering research and administration topics. It’s also a chance to interact with colleagues from industry, government, and education.

COMMUNITY COLLEGES

QUALIFICATIONS

MANDATORY***

  • ASEE’s Community College Membership category is open to all US-based community colleges (both community colleges with and without programs accredited by ABET’s Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC)
  • US-based community colleges that intend to seek accreditation from ABET’s EAC (any level)
  • US-based colleges with pre-engineering courses (part of dual-degree programs)

BENEFITS

  • Community College Membership comes with membership for one Key Member (usually the dean/program head)
  • The Key Contact will represent the community college on ASEE’s Engineering Technology Council (ETC) and participate in council events.
  • Community Colleges can purchase additional memberships called Contact Memberships for $50 per membership (an $89 value). These memberships are renewable and will remain active for one year unless the school’s membership lapses, at which time all purchased Contact Memberships will become inactive. Any unused portion of a Contact Membership is non-refundable. The school’s key Contact can reassign the memberships at any time.
  • Contact Members will enjoy the same benefits as Professional Online Members and can purchase additional division memberships.
  • US-based community colleges that intended to seek accreditation from ABET’s Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) may apply for a non-voting associate membership on ASEE’s Engineering Deans Council (EDC)
  • The Key Contact and other Contact Members receive discount registration to ASEE Annual Conference and Exposition, and ASEE Section and Zone meetings.

This operates with the understanding that those contacts are responsible for
disseminating the key info to your Consortium partners.

ENGINEERING RESEARCH COUNCIL

QUALIFICATIONS

MANDATORY***

For an additional fee, institutional members can participate in ASEE’s Engineering Research Council (ERC). The ERC consists of engineering faculty members, research administrators, and reps from corporations and government agencies focused on the administration of federal research funds for engineering colleges.
The ERC’s objectives are:

  1. To assess and recommend policies related to engineering research and its operation and administration
  2. To provide forums for discussion on problems and experiences related to engineering research
  3. To establish and maintain liaison with other organizations concerned with engineering research and its operation and administration
  4. To assist the members to make contacts with one another
  5. To maintain communication networks for discussing topics of mutual interest

ANNUAL WORKSHOP AND FORUM

The ERC’s annual workshop and forum is an opportunity to share information about engineering research and administration topics. It’s also a chance to interact with colleagues from industry, government, and education.
